August 11th-13th Genius Loci Weimar takes palce in Weimar. My contribution is a multi speaker sound installation in the Zeughofgasse. It is one of the Festivalwalk-Installations and runs every night from 21:30 - 0:15. I am quite obsessed with the sound of cities for quite a while. The Zeughof Gasse is a little piece of jewelery. Forming a very dramatic entrance (a loose metal plate that resonates loudly everytime you step on it) it leads from the river Ilm / Herderkirche to the lively Theaterplatz. Plenty of hidden sounds waited for me to be recorded. Here is a little teaser:
